About

Bastian Hart is a Michigan-based speculative fiction author who grew up in a city named after a shopping mall. As such, their work combines the weird with an untethered lust for nostalgia. Their work spans the breadth of speculative fiction but emphasizes the comfort that can be found in the abject and uncanny.

Whereas their day job as a librarian keeps them somewhat respectable, when they’re off the clock, they can be found lurking Michigan’s wetlands or furiously drafting their Monster Fucking Manifesto. Their work appears in Baffling Magazine and Luminescent Machinations: Queer Tales of Monumental Invention, both published by Neon Hemlock Press.

They are represented by Shannon Lechon at Azantian Literary Agency
